Puppy Training - The Word No

Puppy Training - The Word NO

If your puppy barks more than he should, cuff his nose gently and tell him "NO!".

If he uses the table leg for a bone or thinks the cookies in the dish belong to him, again tap his nose and tell him "NO!" Use this word every time your puppy does wrong.

If the puppy is where you can't reach him, throw a magazine near him. A puppy learns right from wrong by associating his act with pleasing or displeasing results.

In this funny video from the free episodic game DinoHunters, see how one little word leads to a %*$# load of trouble for two hilarious TV stars. The only one who doesn’t find them funny is their tough-as-nails (but hotter-than-hot!) producer, Candy. Will she keep her cool long enough to get them to the next big dinosaur hunt? PABLO IS NOW ADOPTED. Pablo is a purebred chihuahua. He loves to go for walks. He has been trained for obedience and agility and has shown amazing promise as an agility dog. In the agility photos, you can see him rocketing over the A-frame, soaring over a jump, and waiting for his next command on the pause table . He is obedient and affectionate with his foster family. He will be happiest with someone who will continue his training in obedience and agility. Pablo is 11 in. at the shoulder and weighs 7 lbs. He is 3 years old. Pablo is neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, crate trained, leash trained, and housetrained. He knows the commands sit, down, stay, come, leave it, fetch, walk it, over, scrabble, tunnel, chute, table, tire, dance, and he is learning how to weave. He loves to play with other dogs and gets along well with both dogs and cats. Requested donation to our foster care fund is 5 to help cover Pablo's expenses. He has been fully examined, vaccinated, and tested and is ready for adoption. He is microchipped. Before contacting us, please read about our adoption process on our homepage at www.smallbreedrescueofsc.petfinder.com. **UPDATE**5/22/06 We had a great trip home. Pablo has adjusted and fits right in. Rusty and I are a bit sad for Helen and Pablo, because we know they were the best of friends. I'm sure he must dream of her. He has been a VERY good boy. He's been on his best behavior. We've had no accidents, nor has he been unmannerly. I found a pet store( Pets Plus) in town that sells his dog food so I was very pleased, I also bought him the mint flavored Mother Hubbard treats. When we got back to town we went over and had dinner with my daughter. He and Mr. Bean( my grand Dog) hit it off right away and became the best of friends. The Lord works in mysterious ways. It was funny that I went right to him on the internet and knew he was the one for us. Not only did we gain a new member of the family but we had the opportunity to make new friends too. Rusty and I were so impressed with Helen. She's a smart, talented and delightful girl. We hope to get to see ya'll again, and if you ever come this way please let us know. I'll send you pictures as soon as I get the camera working again. They have postponed the movie production for two more weeks, that will give Rusty a chance to construct Pablo's Agility Gym.I'm going to call Azalea Dog Training Club in the morning to see how soon we can start classes, I'll keep ya'll posted. God Bless, Love Mary Jo Hey Ya'll, hope everything is good your way! The little teeter is a hoot ! Rusty just had that little board laying around. He's bought the real size deal now so hopefully soon we'll have Pablo soaring again. We're checking on getting him a tunnel, and eventually Rusty is going to build an A frame and a weave. I will get pictures of Pablo and his classmates on Wen. and get them to you. We've shown everyone the before and after pictures of Pablo, that explanes why when he wags his tail only the upper portion moves !! Have a great day! Love Mary Jo **UPDATE**6/21/06 Hey! Hope everybody is doing well! We are soooo proud of Pablo, he is doing great at Agility School, the people at Azalea Dog Training have all fallin in love with him! He's a real charmer! I'm learning all the tricks and boy is there a lot to it, Pablo does so well, I really try hard to keep up and think as fast as he does. We stay and watch class after ours just so I can observe and catch on to things I should know, that helps a lot too. Congrats to Helen and all her Winnings, how exciting! Keep us posted on the upcoming events! Rusty, Pablo and I ran into a very nice lady at the pet store the other day. She was looking at books on Chihuahuas. She has a 6 1/2 year old daughter that was very sweet. She hit it off with Pablo from the start, he gave her lots of puppy kisses! I gave her your Web address and we talked for over an hour in the store about the breed. They seemed like very nice people and the little girl was very gentle. Hopefully you'll hear from her about one of your Chihuahuas. Take care, I'll try to get you a new video clip of Pablo on his New Big Boy Teeter! Don't worry he's still fast and lean at 7lbs. Thanks again for the "Porky Pics!!!" Ya'll are great! Love Mary Jo **UPDATE**7/5/06 Hey Ya'll! Hope everyone is doing well! Pablo won 3rd Place in our Class Competition! He could have easily won 1st had he done it by himself! I'm still learning! This is a picture of our instructor Stephanie holding his Graduation Diploma and his Ribbon, we are so proud! We will have a week off and then the new session will start. I hope everyone is doing well and we think of you and your family often. Pablo has made a good reputation for himself in spreading the good word about Small Breed Rescue of SC. Tell Helen she's an A-1 teacher and Pablo sends her lots of "Puppy Kisses!" We'll stay in touch!Take Care, Mary
